Verified Helpers in Spain: Safety and Verification
Trusted Help Spain uses reviewed helper profiles, private seeker accounts and clear platform rules to make practical help in Spain more structured and transparent.
Profiles show the completed verification checks and the helper’s current platform status. Checks may vary by category and type of support.
Verification helps reduce risk, but it cannot guarantee behaviour, reliability or the outcome of an arrangement.
Reviewed Helper Profiles
Helper applications and profiles are reviewed before they become visible on Trusted Help Spain.
Private Seeker Accounts
Seekers are not displayed in a public directory, and their personal account information remains protected.
Visible Verification Checks
Each profile shows which relevant identity, intake, reference, profile and additional checks have been completed.
Helper Statuses
Profiles can also show whether someone is a New Verified Helper, Verified Helper or Trusted Helper.
Why Does Trusted Help Spain Review Helpers?
Practical support can involve someone’s home, pets, appointments, family circumstances, belongings or other personal situations.
People should therefore have more information than they would usually receive through an informal post, unstructured group or personal recommendation.
The review process is intended to provide:
More transparency
Seekers can read the helper’s profile and see which relevant verification checks have been completed.
Better-informed decisions
Profiles provide information about experience, languages, availability, locations covered and types of practical help.
Category-relevant checks
The checks are adapted to the helper’s selected categories and type of support.
Greater accountability
Reviews, reporting options, profile statuses and manual moderation help address concerns or misuse.
What Is a Verified Helper?
A verified helper is someone whose application and profile have completed the required Trusted Help Spain review process before becoming visible.
Not every check will be equally relevant to every helper.
For example, the information needed for pet support may differ from the information needed for family help, transportation, household tasks or handyman-style work.
Trusted Help Spain determines which checks and supporting information are appropriate based on the profile, selected categories and type of support offered.
Verification confirms that particular review steps have been completed. It does not provide professional certification or guarantee future performance.
The review process can include:
- Identity verification
- A video intake
- Reference checks
- Profile review
- Online presence review
- Category-specific information or checks
- Acceptance of the Code of Conduct
How Are Helpers Reviewed?
Identity Verification
A valid identity document is reviewed to help confirm that the applicant is a real person and that the information supplied is consistent.
Identity documents are not displayed publicly on the helper profile.
For urgent, medical or dangerous situations, contact the appropriate Spanish emergency or professional service.
Video Intake
Applicants complete a video intake to discuss their background, experience, intended services and understanding of the platform’s boundaries.
The intake also helps Trusted Help Spain assess whether the applicant and the support they want to offer appear suitable for the platform.
Reference Checks
Relevant references may be requested and reviewed.
The type of reference can depend on the categories selected and the experience claimed by the applicant.
For example, a professional reference may be more useful for one category, while a personal, client or practical reference may be more appropriate for another.
Online Presence Review
Where relevant, publicly available personal or professional information may be reviewed for consistency with the application.
This can include:
- A personal or business website
- Personal or professional social-media profiles
- A Google Business Profile, where applicable
- Public reviews or recommendations
- Other relevant publicly available information
A helper is not required to have every type of online presence.
Category-Specific Checks
Depending on the type of help offered, Trusted Help Spain may request additional information relevant to the selected categories.
This can include:
- Relevant experience
- Suitable references
- Practical boundaries
- Qualifications or licences where legally required
- Other information needed to assess whether the service fits the platform
A completed verification process does not replace any legal licence, registration, qualification or insurance that may be required.
Code of Conduct Agreement
Before becoming visible, helpers must agree to the Trusted Help Spain Code of Conduct.
The Code of Conduct covers:
- Respectful communication
- Honest profile information
- Privacy and confidentiality
- Clear practical boundaries
- Non-medical support
- Appropriate platform use
- Reliable communication
- Responsible handling of requests
- Reporting safety concerns
Profile Review
After completing the initial verification process and receiving approval, the helper activates their membership and creates their helper profile.
The completed profile is then reviewed before publication to check that:
- The information is consistent with the application and verification process
- The profile is complete, clear and presented appropriately
- The selected help categories match the support discussed during verification
- The profile does not include misleading or contradictory information
- Only permitted, non-medical types of help are offered
- The content follows the platform rules and Code of Conduct
The profile only becomes visible after this final review has been completed.
Verification Checks on Helper Profiles
Each helper profile shows which verification checks were completed during the approval process.
Depending on the helper’s selected categories and circumstances, this may include:
- Identity checked
- Video intake completed
- References checked
- Online presence checked
- Additional category-relevant checks, where applicable
Only checks that have actually been completed are shown.
The later profile review is an internal check before publication and is therefore not displayed as a verification check.
Helper Statuses Shown on Profiles
In addition to completed verification checks, profiles can show a helper’s current platform status.
These statuses provide context about how long the helper has been active and the track record they have built through Trusted Help Spain.
Statuses Can Be Reviewed
Helper statuses are not permanent entitlements.
Trusted Help Spain may review, pause, change or remove a status if:
- Profile information is no longer accurate
- Serious concerns are reported
- Platform rules are breached
- Required information is not kept up to date
- The helper becomes inactive for an extended period
- The criteria for the status are no longer met
New Verified Helper
A New Verified Helper has completed the required application, verification and profile review process and has recently become visible on the platform.
This status means the helper has been approved but has not yet built a substantial activity or review history through Trusted Help Spain.
Verified Helper
A Verified Helper has completed the required verification process and has started building a positive record through the platform.
This status can take account of factors such as:
- Completed help requests
- Positive seeker feedback
- Reliable communication
- Appropriate platform use
- No serious unresolved concerns
- Continued compliance with profile and conduct requirements
Trusted Helper
A Trusted Helper has built a stronger and more established record through Trusted Help Spain.
This status is earned over time and can consider:
- A consistent history of completed requests
- Multiple positive reviews
- Reliable and respectful communication
- Clear practical boundaries
- Accurate profile information
- Responsible platform use
- No serious unresolved complaints
- Continued compliance with the Code of Conduct
A Trusted Helper status does not guarantee future behaviour or the outcome of any arrangement. It indicates that the helper has developed a stronger platform track record.
Private Seeker Accounts
People looking for help use a private account and are not displayed in a public seeker directory.
Their account is not publicly searchable, and other seekers cannot view their details or private help requests.
Approved helpers may only receive information relevant to a direct enquiry or private help request, such as:
- First name
- General region or location
- Preferred language
- Type of help required
- Relevant practical details
Exact addresses, sensitive information and unnecessary personal details should not be displayed publicly.
Helpers cannot browse a public seeker directory or contact random seekers.
Contact starts when:
- A seeker contacts a helper directly; or
- A helper responds to a suitable private help request.

The platform must not be used for:

Safer Direct Arrangements
Trusted Help Spain provides access, information and platform safeguards.
Seekers and helpers remain responsible for their own direct arrangements.
Before help takes place, both sides should agree on:
- The type of help
- What is included
- What is not included
- Date and time
- Location
- Expected duration
- The helper’s rate
- Payment method
- Additional or travel costs
- Cancellation arrangements
- Practical boundaries
Important details should be confirmed in writing.
Trusted Help Spain may provide a simple agreement template, but it is not an employment contract and does not make the platform a party to the arrangement.

Can Verification Guarantee Safety?
No.
Verification cannot predict future behaviour or remove every risk.
The purpose is to provide more information, improve accountability and reduce some of the uncertainty involved in finding help online.
Seekers must still assess profiles, communicate directly and decide whether a helper is suitable for their situation.
Helpers must also assess requests and only accept arrangements they consider appropriate and safe.
