Why become a helper in Spain?
Becoming a helper in Spain is a flexible way to use your time, languages and local knowledge to support people with everyday practical needs.
Trusted Help Spain helps reliable helpers become visible through a clearer, more trusted alternative to Facebook groups, WhatsApp chats and word of mouth.
What kind of practical help can helpers offer?
Helpers can offer practical, non-medical help in Spain within clear platform boundaries.
Trusted Help Spain is not a care provider, employer, emergency service or agency. The platform is built for everyday practical support, not medical care, personal care or regulated services.
Shopping and errands
Helpers can support people with groceries, collections, deliveries and other simple errands in their local area. This does not include heavy lifting, commercial delivery work or tasks that require specialist equipment.
Companionship
Helpers can offer a walk, coffee, conversation, short visit or other light social contact. This remains practical companionship and does not include therapy, personal care, medical support or crisis intervention.
Nanny and family help
Helpers can support suitable family routines, school logistics and short practical tasks involving children. This must follow parental consent, platform rules and any legal requirements that apply to childcare.
Pet help
Helpers can offer dog walking, feeding, pet check-ins and practical support around routine pet care. They should only accept pet-related tasks they can manage safely, responsibly and confidently.
Light garden help
Helpers can assist with watering, sweeping terraces, light weeding and other simple outdoor tasks. This does not include climbing, tree work, heavy landscaping, dangerous tools or specialist garden services.
Appointment support
Helpers can assist with transport, practical preparation and basic language support around everyday appointments. This does not include medical advice, legal advice, financial advice or making decisions on someone else’s behalf.
Language help
Helpers can support everyday communication by explaining simple messages, instructions and local information. This is not official translation, legal representation, medical interpretation or professional advice.
Check-ins
Helpers can provide short visits, simple updates, home checks, pet checks or friendly reassurance when needed. Check-ins are not medical monitoring, emergency response, care supervision or continuous responsibility for someone’s safety.
Handyman-style help
Helpers can support simple assembly, small repairs and basic practical tasks around the home. Electrical, gas, plumbing, structural or other regulated work requires a suitably qualified professional.
Daily practical support
Helpers can assist with simple routines, light organisation and other manageable everyday tasks. This does not include personal care, heavy cleaning, risky physical work or regulated professional services.
View Local Help Requests
Approved helpers can view private help requests from seekers in their active region and respond when a request matches their availability, experience and preferred type of help.
Requests may include practical support with errands, appointments, pets, language barriers, companionship, check-ins or light everyday tasks. Personal contact details are not displayed publicly.
See a limited, privacy-safe preview of recent help requests. Approved helpers can log in to view complete requests and offer help.
No public help request previews are available yet.
Who can become a helper in Spain?
A helper can be any reliable person or independent provider who wants to offer practical support in their local area.
Helpers decide how they organise their work and remain responsible for meeting any tax, registration, insurance, licensing and legal obligations that apply to the services they offer.
Trusted Help Spain may be suitable for:
- International residents who want to help others locally
- Spanish residents who speak more than one language
- Retired people with time and local knowledge
- Part-time workers looking for flexible opportunities
- People already offering practical local services
- People with relevant experience, skills or community knowledge
- Responsible, locally available people who want to build trust through a reviewed profile
The most important qualities are reliability, honesty, respectful communication and a clear understanding of the platform rules and personal boundaries.
How does the helper application process work?
To become a helper in Spain, you apply first, complete your profile, go through verification and only become visible after approval.
1.
Register as a helper
Create your helper account and confirm your email address.
Provide your basic details, including your region, languages and contact information.
2.
Complete the verification process
Trusted Help Spain reviews your application before you can join the active helper network.
The process may include an identity check, video intake, reference check, profile review, public profile check and acceptance of the code of conduct.
3.
Receive manual approval
Helper applications are reviewed individually and are not approved automatically.
Trusted Help Spain checks whether your application is complete, suitable and consistent with the platform rules. Approved applicants receive instructions for activating their membership.
4.
Activate your helper membership
After approval, activate your monthly or annual early-access membership.
Once payment is completed, you can continue to create your helper profile.
5.
Create and publish your helper profile
Add your region, languages, availability, rates, experience and the types of practical help you want to offer.
After your profile is completed, reviewed and published, suitable seekers can find and contact you. You can also view published help requests available to approved helpers.
6.
Connect and make a direct agreement
Respond to suitable help requests or enquiries that match your availability, skills and boundaries.
Before accepting, agree directly with the seeker on the type of help, date, location, duration, rate, payment method, cancellation terms and practical limits. Trusted Help Spain may provide a simple template to help both sides record these details clearly.
Are helpers employed by Trusted Help Spain?
No. Helpers are not employed by Trusted Help Spain.
Helpers are independent users of the platform. They decide their own availability, rates, payment methods, conditions and which requests they accept.
Trusted Help Spain does not set helper schedules, decide helper rates, manage the work, pay helpers for the help they provide or act as an employer.
The platform provides visibility, access, structure, verification and trust signals. The actual help agreement remains between the helper and the person seeking help.
Can helpers set their own rates?
Yes. Helpers set their own rates and payment methods.
Trusted Help Spain may offer general guidance or suggestions, but helpers remain responsible for deciding their own price and conditions.
The person seeking help decides whether they agree with the helper’s rate.
In the first phase, Trusted Help Spain does not process payment for the actual help. Payment is arranged directly between the person seeking help and the helper.
How does helper verification in Spain work?
Helper verification helps Trusted Help Spain create a clearer and more trusted environment than open social media groups.
The process may include several checks, depending on the helper’s profile and the type of support offered. Helper profiles clearly show which verification steps have been completed, so seekers can review this information before making contact.
ID-check
Helpers may be asked to provide a valid identity document before approval.
This helps confirm that a helper is a real person and that the profile is not anonymous or misleading.
Video intake
A short video intake can help Trusted Help Spain understand who you are, what kind of help you want to offer and whether you understand the platform rules.
Reference check
You may be asked to provide one or more references.
References can help show that you are reliable, suitable and responsible. Reference details are not shown publicly on your profile.
Online presence check
Trusted Help Spain may review publicly available information, such as social media profiles, a Google Business Profile or a professional website, to check whether it is consistent with the helper application.
Profile review
Trusted Help Spain can review your profile to check whether it is complete, clear, consistent and suitable for the platform.
Helpers must agree to the platform code of conduct before becoming visible.
This includes rules around respect, privacy, clear communication, boundaries, non-medical support and responsibility for your own legal, tax and insurance obligations.
What kind of help is not allowed?
Trusted Help Spain does not allow medical care, nursing, therapy, personal care, medication management, emergency help or regulated care services.
These boundaries protect helpers, people seeking help and the platform.
Helpers should not offer:
- Medical care
- Nursing
- Therapy
- Personal care
- Medication management
- Wound care
- Emergency help
- Crisis support
- Regulated care services
- Formal childcare without the correct legal basis
- Heavy cleaning
- Risky physical work
- Legal, financial or medical representation without proper authority
What are helpers responsible for?
Helpers are responsible for offering only the support they can provide safely, honestly and responsibly.
Trusted Help Spain gives helpers visibility and structure, but helpers remain independent.
As a helper, you are responsible for:
- Giving correct profile information
- Being clear about your experience
- Only accepting suitable requests
- Setting your own rates and conditions
- Respecting privacy
- Keeping agreements
- Communicating respectfully
- Staying within the allowed help categories
- Managing your own tax, insurance and legal obligations
- Reporting unsafe or inappropriate situations
Why use Trusted Help Spain instead of Facebook groups?
Create one clear local profile and become easier to find by region, language, availability and type of practical help. Trusted Help Spain shows seekers which verification steps have been completed before they make contact.
Instead of repeatedly posting in busy social media groups, helpers can present their experience, rates and availability in one structured place.
Seekers can compare relevant profiles more easily and contact a helper who appears suitable for their needs.
Where can helpers become visible?
Trusted Help Spain starts in Costa Blanca and expands region by region as local demand grows.
Helpers and people looking for support can already register their interest in another region. When there is enough balanced demand, Trusted Help Spain can prepare that region for activation.
A region may be activated once there are enough suitable helper applications and enough local demand to create a useful and balanced network.
Is there a cost to become a helper?
Registration and verification are free. After approval, early-access membership costs €2 per month until 31 December 2026, or €24 for the first 12 months.
Planned standard membership afterwards is from €7.95 per month or from €69 per year.
Can becoming a helper help you earn money in Spain?
You can set your own rates and make direct agreements with seekers. Trusted Help Spain helps you become visible but does not guarantee enquiries, work or income.
What makes a good helper profile?
A good helper profile is clear, honest and complete. It should explain where you are available, which languages you speak, what help you offer, your experience, availability, rates and personal boundaries.
Keep your information realistic and up to date, so seekers can quickly understand whether you may be suitable for their request.
